THE REQUEST: A customer approached us with a heavily rusted and weathered gate panel, seeking restoration and powder coating.
THE CHALLENGE: During our initial consultation, we addressed concerns about pricing and the expected lifespan of the restored part. We explained that sandblasting would be required to fully remove rust and debris before applying the powder coat. Through further discussions, we identified which components could safely undergo the process and which required special handling. For example, fittings like hinges, bearings, and bushings needed to be removed to avoid damage during sandblasting and curing.
THE PROCESS: Our team carefully disassembled the gate panel, removing parts that could not withstand the process. We then sandblasted the surface, taped off sensitive areas, applied the powder coating, and cured it in our oven.
THE FINAL PRODUCT: Once complete, we reassembled the gate panel, ensuring all components were properly fitted. The final product was wrapped for protection and returned to a very satisfied customer, showcasing a beautifully restored and durable finish.
THE REQUEST: A customer approached us with several oversized fence panels
THE CHALLENGE: They were frustrated after finding that no other facility in town could accommodate their size. Thanks to our advanced continuous chain line, as opposed to a traditional batch oven, we were able to handle up to three 12-foot fence panels at a time.
THE PROCESS: Our system allowed for seamless production, as completed panels were removed from the line while new ones were loaded at the start, ensuring uninterrupted workflow. Our ability to maintain continuous production proved invaluable to the customer, enabling us to powder coat panels as quickly as they were fabricated. Over the course of the project, we coated more than 3,000 fence panels, handrails, and other large items, along with several thousand small brackets—all within just a few days.
THE FINAL PRODUCT: Our efficiency and ability to scale not only met but exceeded the customer's expectations, making us their trusted partner for large-scale powder coating needs.
THE REQUEST: Many customers come to us unsure of the best paint for their project, often relying on our expertise to guide them through the various powder coating options. One example involved a customer seeking a flat black finish for a tractor cage but emphasizing the need for exceptional durability.
THE CHALLENGE: We explained that while flat black is a popular choice, it tends to show scratches and scuffs more prominently. To address this concern, we recommended wrinkle black instead—a finish that maintains the desired flat black color but incorporates a textured surface, making it far more forgiving and durable in harsher environments.
THE PROCESS: For this project, we sandblasted the tractor cage to ensure a clean, debris-free surface. Afterward, the part went through our curing oven, where the wrinkle black powder coating was baked to perfection, creating a tough, resilient finish.
THE FINAL PRODUCT:The result was a general-purpose cage suitable for a John Deere tractor that met the customer’s expectations for both appearance and durability.
